About The Role:

We're looking for a full-stack engineer to join our Publishing team. This team builds tools empowering YipitData research and data analysts to deliver the data that drives decisions at the world's largest investors and corporations. The team’s suite of solutions is responsible for producing and delivering our data and research assets: client portal, data organization, automated chart generation, and report drafting & scheduling.

This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit in NYC, where our headquarters is located, or anywhere in the US (we expect Eastern work hours).

As a Software Engineer II you will:

  • Work together with a tech lead and product manager to build and release solutions
  • Maintain a code quality that sets an example for others

About the Role:

We're looking for a senior engineer with experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices to add to our engineering culture. As the first member of our SRE team, your mission is to support other engineering teams in building and operating systems sustainably with appropriate reliability. We need somebody with empathy to partner with our teams and share the ownership of building systems and operating them in production.

Our Infrastructure department has three teams that work closely to enable other engineering teams to deliver the best solutions as efficiently as possible to our clients:

  • Infra & Tools: develop our infrastructure platform and development tools
  • Security: risk mitigation, security response, and security prevention
  • SRE (new): support engineering teams in building and operating systems sustainably with appropriate reliability

As a Senior Software Engineer 1 - SRE, you will:

  • Help engineering teams build & maintain infrastructure solutions
  • Help teams operate their systems in production sustainably
  • Enable teams to understand their systems' reliability
  • Consistently work on systems' reliability, resiliency, efficiency, and observability of your assigned teams to reach the appropriate levels of sustainability

As our Revenue Operations Manager, you will partner with our Client Strategy (CS) and Business Development (BD) teams, collaborating with them to:

  • Act as the operations subject matter expert for the CS/BD function, working closely with VP’s and Directors to strategically advise on core initiatives, action said initiatives, and iterate as we scale.
  • Own and optimize client lifecycle management, leveraging processes and tools (Salesforce, ChurnZero, internal systems) to improve key customer success metrics.
  • Bolster the team with analytical expertise (you will learn SQL in your first few weeks), owning projects such as capacity modeling, account tiering, territory planning, and other data-centric tools.
  • Be a ‘product owner’ regarding CS/BD workflows, tech, tools, and documentation, able to identify problems and inefficiencies, investigate possible solutions and garner feedback, and outline/action next steps.
  • Build infrastructure and workflow standardization, supported by top-notch organization and documentation, to meet expected triple-digit 3 year client strategy team growth; build to scale!
  • Think innovatively and strategically, consistently sharing new ideas with a pulse on options outside the current tech stack or company operations while being considerate of our current infrastructure (new tech, outsourcers, etc.).
  • Join weekly CS/BD leadership meetings to help drive our operational roadmap, collaborating with Revenue leaders to drive our strategic vision forward.
