As a Senior Software Engineer at YipitData, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning problems end-to-end, from understanding the user’s need to figuring out a deployment strategy
  • Maintaining a code quality that sets an example for others
  • Architecting solutions that will scale as we continue to grow
  • Providing technical direction to others
  • Maintaining documentation, being available for advice, and otherwise driving adoption of technology and best practices
  • Sharing knowledge with the rest of the team through internal talks and pair programming sessions

We work in small, integrated teams, so you'll need excellent communication skills and need to be adaptive to changing requirements. Scalability and consistency matter, so you ought to have an eye for detail and be conscientious about assumptions in code. Because our products depend heavily on external sources, you should be inquisitive and excited to dig deep into issues.

Although we program in Python, we don’t expect you to know it — as long as you’ve programmed in a modern programming language, we’re confident you will learn the specifics of our technology stack:

  • Cloud hosting in Amazon Web Services with CloudFormation and ECS
  • Databases like Redis, PostgreSQL and Redshift

Full Stack Software Engineer

We’re hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our ReadyPipe Engineering team. ReadyPipe is our SaaS platform that enables clients to perform and scale their own web scraping by eliminating common challenges and roadblocks most companies face.  It was built from our seven years of experience pioneering web data aggregation for the top global hedge funds and asset managers, and for the first time, we’re making our proprietary technology available to companies in corporate verticals.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with a product manager and technical lead to implement new features on both the front-end and back-end 
  • Completing high quality work, following best practices in testing and code review
  • Implementing solutions that will scale as we continue to grow
  • Maintaining documentation, offering advice, and otherwise driving adoption of technology and best practices
  • Sharing knowledge with the rest of the team through internal talks

Product Manager - Data Experience

In this role, you’ll own how our clients experience the high quality datasets and research the company produces. You will be the sole Product Manager and thus have significant ownership over our clients’ experience. You will work closely with the CEO to ensure your work is aligned with other company initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand the circumstances, workflow, and problems of clients by working with our revenue team and by doing outreach yourself
  • Define and analyze metrics of success for each project
  • Research competitor offerings and comparable data provider offerings
  • Collaboratively and iteratively design and build prototypes
  • Project manage the production build of client facing software
  • Manage relationships with third-party data aggregators
  • Gather feedback on prototypes and production software
  • Collaboratively define data distribution formats with the engineering team

Types of projects you’ll work on:

  • Own our client portal where clients access our research
  • Own the process in which clients access machine readable data and the distribution format of that data
  • Own building new interfaces to allow clients to do their own analyses on our granular data

About you:

  • 3+ years experience as a product manager. Mostly preferably at a fast-paced startup
  • Built successful web-based software products, including:
  • doing customer development to learn customer needs,
  • designing mockup prototypes,
  • iterating on prototypes by soliciting feedback from customers,
  • working with engineers to transform prototypes to production
  • Are comfortable enough in user experience, user interface design, and user research to get the job done with minimal support
  • No experience with the financial industry necessary.
  • Have battled tested opinions on processes you use but are flexible about trying new things
  • Empathetic. You keep the customer front of mind.
  • Nimble. You know how to quickly iterate on an idea with minimal resources.
  • Scrappy. You find your way through or around obstacles.
  • You can switch back and forth from making UX mockups to doing client calls to working with engineers.
  • Seeking and receptive of feedback. You seek early feedback on your work and are receptive to it.

Accounting Manager

Our Finance team is looking to bring on an experienced Accounting Manager who can help scale processes and take ownership over several monthly tasks.

As our Accounting Manager:

  • You will own our monthly financial-close procedure, including reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing closing schedules, and booking adjusting entries
  • You will prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external parties
  • You will perform bank reconciliations and monitor our bank account
  • You will file state and local taxes, sales and use tax, commercial rent tax, annual filings, and work with an external tax accountant for timely preparation and submission of Federal and State income tax requirements
  • You will review payroll, track commissions and bonuses, and book appropriate journal entries 
  • You will review vendor and customer contracts, process vendor payments, assist with our yearly financial audit and other ad hoc projects

As an ideal candidate, you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA a big plus!
  • Can hit the ground running on the responsibilities listed above and have expertise in problem-solving when things don't go as planned
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company
  • Are skilled with advanced Excel formulas and feel at ease using Quickbooks
  • Are comfortable with interpreting GAAP, creating monthly close adjusting entries, and researching sales tax and other tax filings
  • Are excited to keep up to date with FASB and GAAP, research new accounting standards, and ensure we are compliant with them
  • Have a strong understanding of internal controls
  • Are naturally curious and have a history of seeking optimizations/automations whenever possible

We are looking to add a driven Sales Executive to our growing team in Hong Kong to position YipitData's must-have products within the investment field and motivate stakeholders to take the first step and participate in discovery meetings and calls.

 

As an early team member in Hong Kong you will:

  • Hit the ground running prospecting new accounts throughout Asia-Pacific
    • Identifying the funds most likely to benefit from our research and data;
    • Connecting with key decision makers and influencers within those target funds;
    • Uncovering their needs to best position the benefits of YipitData

You are likely to succeed if:

VP of Marketing

YipitData is looking for a VP of Marketing to own the marketing function at YipitData.

As VP of Marketing for YipitData, you will:

  • Report directly to the CEO of the company
  • Fully own all marketing activities of YipitData
  • Work with our VP of Research to leverage the unique data-driven insights that our 60-person research team produces everyday
  • Own a lead goal that you will hit and grow by:
    • Leading all field marketing efforts both online and offline (e.g., webcasts and small in-person events)
    • Leading all digital advertising efforts (e.g., targeted social ads, re-targeting, SEM)
    • Leading all lead nurturing campaigns
  • Build processes that can be handed off as you hire and lead your team
  • Own reporting of metrics by channel including ROI, cost-per-lead, CAC, LTV
  • Collaborate with revenue operations to create and maintain a marketing technology stack
  • Ensure that timelines, budgets and expectations are communicated clearly, regularly and efficiently to all parties
  • Drive campaigns managing both internal resources and geographically distributed marketing and design contractors, on time and on budget
  • Direct design and maintenance of websites and related content and features

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a fast-growing B2B marketing company with a proven track record of owning a lead goal, achieving that lead goal and growing the lead goal every year
  • Experience growing qualified leads via:
    • Field marketing: In-person events and online events (e.g., webcasts)
    • Digital advertising: Targeted social ads, re-targeting and SEM
    • Lead nurturing campaigns
  • You must love both small private events and growth marketing (we need both)
  • You must be metrics focused (ROI, cost per lead, CAC, LTV)
  • Experience creating and maintaining a marketing technology stack
  • Strong leadership skills; must have proven experience recruiting and leading teams
  • Must be an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency, proven results orientation, initiative and an affinity for producing consistently high-quality wor

  • Experience marketing to public market investors
