About The Role:

 

We are expanding our data team by hiring Data Specialists who will be the key producers of our data products received by our institutional investor clients. Our Data Specialist role is a fantastic opportunity for analytical individuals with 0-2 years of experience to build the core skills required to succeed in the tech, data, and investment worlds that YipitData intersects.

 

In this role you'll gain experience in:

  • Programming: Learn Python and SQL or sharpen your existing skills by running our growing portfolio of data products.
  • Data: Work with massive amounts of data on the performance of important companies, using proprietary methods. You'll learn vital techniques on ensuring data accuracy and deriving key insights across a number of types of data.
  • Investing: Create and write data reports that are consumed by the top investors in the world. You'll gain insight into how investors think about companies and the most important questions they need to answer to make stock portfolio decisions.

More about the team:
A critical component to YipitData’s product is a fast growing set of strategic data partnerships, including some with companies that have not traditionally licensed data. The Data Partnerships team is constantly looking for new and interesting datasets. Each new partnership we execute expands and improves YipitData’s product offering, and helps accelerate YipitData’s growth.
 
More about the role:
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic Data Partnerships Associate who will become an integral part of the growing Data Partnerships team at YipitData. As our first team hire, you will report directly to our Director of Data Partnerships. You will focus on identifying and cultivating relationships with companies that have high-value datasets, and owning the entire deal process from research to diligence and execution. This is a unique opportunity for you to work directly with executive leadership on growth-oriented initiatives. You’ll gain experience in:

  • Business Development: You will work to identify targets with interesting data sets, through outreach and pitching develop a pipeline of leads, and nurture those leads into partnership opportunities
  • Deal Execution: You will own the deal process end to end including: research, structuring, data review, business plan development, and contract negotiation / execution
  • Product Development: You will learn what it takes to build products and will develop business cases to support each investment we make
  • Data Analysis: You will get insights into some of the most exciting datasets in the world and learn how to quickly judge their value
  • Relationships: You will own relationships with existing partners managing renewals and opportunities for expansion
  • Alternative Data Landscape: You will develop a deep understanding of key players and become an expert in datasets available to investors


You are likely to succeed, if:

  • You have 1-2 years experience in investment banking, consulting or a business development role for a market research firm or a high growth startup
  • You have an interest in data-driven fundamental investing
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and strong sense of ownership
  • You enjoy being in a fast paced environment
  • You are meticulous about details, never letting anything fall through the cracks
  • You have excellent communication and relationship building skills 
  • You are comfortable building relationships with senior team members and presenting to executive level leadership
  • You have knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Academic background in an analytical field such as Finance, Economics, Data Science or Engineering is a plus
  • Prior work experience in consumer, internet, technology, or media sector is a plus

About The Role (and Challenges You’ll Be Helping To Solve!):

We are looking to add an experienced Sales Executive to our team who will act as a main growth driver to position YipitData's must-have products within the investment field and close on targeted opportunities. 

As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for effectively managing the whole sales process from the beginning to the end, including qualifying new leads, identifying prospects, creating advocates for our products and constantly assisting them find answers to their key questions by collaborating closely with our research and data product teams.  

You Are Likely To Succeed, If:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in subscription sales in a fast-paced environment with a short sales-cycle 
  • You have a track record of not only meeting, but exceeding sales goals
  • You have successfully introduced a complex product (financial preferred but not required) to new customers
  • You are a team player and are motivated by the company’s success, not just your own
  • You are excited about the integration of data and financial analysis

Our Hong-Kong office was launched 2 years ago and is continuously growing. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and motivated Account Associate to join to become a core contributor of our team and manage our client base in Asia-Pacific market.

As our first Account Associate, you will be interacting with some of the most sophisticated investors in the market to identify engagement opportunities, and cultivate meaningful client relationships by mastering various sales and account management skills including, but not limited to:

About The Role:

Our Hong-Kong office was launched 2 years ago and is continuously growing.  We are looking for a result-driven and motivated Sales Associate who will join our team to become a core contributor and help us further grow our Asia-Pacific business.  There is still a large untapped client base in the region, and we believe this will be a great opportunity to expand our presence and grow together.  As our first Sales Associate, you will be a growth driver by interacting with some of the most sophisticated investors in the Asia-Pacific market and help them better understand the companies in their investment portfolios through our must-have products.

As a Sales Associate at YipitData, you will build the skills to manage the entire sales process from establishing new contacts to closing deals. Working closely with our Director of Sales, you’ll initially partner together to source and close new opportunities and will be on a path to own the entire process. You will master various skillsets including, but not limited to:

  • Finding new and creative ways to engage with institutional investors (i.e. cold calling , networking at industry conference, requesting for referrals, etc.)
  • Effectively communicating the value of our data-driven research products
  • Building the brand awareness of YipitData 
  • Establishing relationships with industry partners for marketing and event opportunities
